Stripping off the concrete tiles & rotten lath batten to carry out repairs to the damaged bitumen under felt adjacent to the lead valley using breathable membrane pitched roof underlay. When this property was constructed the lath battens were cut slightly too short at the side of the valley and did not rest on the valley board. Consequently over time the weight of the concrete tiles has slowly pushed the ends of the lath battens  down through the bitumen under felt which in turn has caused water ingress into the property.
